For the first time in this fifth wave of corona infection in the country's capital Delhi, 43 people have died in a day. However, the relief is that there has been a decrease in the daily infection rate and new patients in the last one day. On Thursday, the Health Department said that 57290 samples were tested in the last one day, of which 21.48 percent were found to be corona infected.In the last one day, 12306 people have been found infected. During this, 18815 patients were also discharged. With this, the total number of infected patients in Delhi has increased to 17,60,272 out of which 16,60,039 patients have been cured but 25503 patients have died.At present, the active corona patients in the capital have come down to 68730 who are being treated in hospitals and homes. The Health Department said that there has been a decrease in new cases of infection in the capital, but the Containment Zones are still increasing rapidly. The situation has reached to such an extent that 40756 areas in Delhi are completely sealed.These have been converted into containment zones for 14 days. The department has informed that 53593 patients are being treated at their homes. At the same time, 2698 patients are admitted in hospitals. Apart from these, 280 patients are being treated at Kovid Surveillance Center and 12 patients are being treated at Kovid Health Centers.Oxygen therapy is being given to 903 corona infected patients admitted in hospitals, out of which 152 patients have been kept on ventilator support due to their critical condition. Apart from these, 844 patients are being treated in ICU.According to the department, 82.69 percent of Kovid beds in Delhi hospitals are lying vacant. While 93.95 per cent of Kovid beds are vacant in Kovid Surveillance Center and 93.88 per cent in Kovid Health Center.
