Therefore, now Mukesh Ambani's company has planned an investment of Rs 1,000 crore.

Reliance Industries is currently facing a decrease in production of CBM from this gas block. Reliance Gas Pipeline Limited of Reliance Reliance Gas Pipeline Limited also operates a 302 km pipeline from this gas field to Phulpur in Uttar Pradesh. The gas is part of the grid.

So much gas production is left

Reliance Industries says that 300 gas wells are still produced. During the financial year 2023-24, his average production has remained 0.64 MSCMD (Unit to measure gas, which was earlier 0.73 units in FY 2022-23 and 2021-22 and earlier also 2020-21 and 2019- 20 was 1 mscmd in 20.

The company will invest 1000 crores

Reliance Industries will invest Rs 1000 crore to increase gas production from this sector. For this, the company has made a plan to dig the wells of extra gas in this field. This will help the company to reach its CBM production to 1 MSCMD again in the next 3 years. Reliance's Suhagpur CBM Gas Field is spread over 995 square kilometers.

CBM is a kind of natural gas. It is extracted by extracting trap gas in the coal bed. It is later used as a compressed natural gas (CNG). CAG is also used from vehicles to industry levels.
