Chhattisgarh | An encounter broke out between security forces and Naxalites on the border of Chhattisgarh and Telangana on Monday morning, in which the soldiers killed six Naxalites. A joint operation of DRG and CRPF was launched with the Chhattisgarh-Telangana Police on the information of the presence of a large number of Naxalites in the border area. Four women and two men are among the Maoists killed in the encounter. The deceased Naxalites are yet to be identified. The bodies have been brought to Sukma. Panchnama and identification action will be taken on Tuesday.Sukma SP Sunil Sharma said that there was information about the gathering of Naxalites in the number of 50-60 in the border area. The Naxalites were in the process of carrying out some major incident in the Kistaram police station area. A joint operation was launched by Kistaram DRG, Telangana Grey-Hound Force, CRPF Battalion and Kottagudem District Force. The encounter took place at 7 am in the South East of Pesalpadu. The Naxalites started firing on the Grey-Hound and the CRPF team. The soldiers also took the front and retaliated. After several hours of encounter, the Naxalites fled taking advantage of the forest.The slain Maoists have not been identifiedSP Sunil Sharma said that during the search operation, the forces have recovered the bodies of six Naxalites, in which four are women and two are men. Apart from this, explosive and Naxal material including 4 rocket launchers, 2 three not three rifles, 3 Bharmar guns have been recovered. The Kottagudam police team has brought the dead bodies of the Maoists to Sukma. He said that the slain Maoists are yet to be identified. Let us inform that two days ago, the force had recovered a large quantity of dumped explosives of Naxalites in Malkangiri area bordering Chhattisgarh.
