IPL 2025 Auction - A new era begins in IPL, players will get this many crores for playing all the matches
IPL 2025 Auction: A big good news has come for the players even before the IPL 2025 mega auction. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced to pay per match fees to the players in IPL. Announcing this, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah said that now the players playing every match in the IPL will get additional money, which will increase their total earnings.Fee of Rs 7.5 lakh per matchJay Shah tweeted and informed about this new initiative and called it "respect for the performance and consistency of the players". He wrote, "We are thrilled to introduce a match fee of Rs 7.5 lakh per game for our cricketers." This means that if a player plays all the league matches of the entire season, he will get Rs 1.05 crore in addition to his contracted amount.Under this new policy, each franchise will be allocated a total budget of Rs 12.60 crore as the match fees of the players. This initiative will not only improve the financial condition of the players but will also add a new chapter to the history of IPL.Uncapped players will get big benefitThis new system will prove to be especially beneficial for those uncapped players whose base price is Rs 20 lakh. For example, if an uncapped player is bought for Rs 20 lakh and plays all the matches of the season, he can earn up to Rs 1.05 crore in total.Players like Rinku Singh will also get a big benefit from this decision, who are sold for Rs 50 lakh and if he plays all the matches of the season, his earnings will increase drastically. This will especially benefit those players who, even though sold at a low base price, perform well consistently and remain a part of the team.Mega Auction and Retention PolicyThe IPL 2025 mega auction is expected to be held in November. However, no final decision has been taken regarding the retention policy yet. According to media reports, it is believed that all the franchises may be allowed to retain 5-5 players. Along with this, teams can also be given the option of "Right to Match" (RTM).However, these news have not been officially confirmed by the IPL Governing Council yet. This can be a golden opportunity for new and uncapped players in the mega auction, as the new match fee policy will increase their earnings drastically.Beginning of a new eraThis move signals the beginning of a new era for the IPL and its players. Earlier, players used to get money only on the basis of their franchise contracts, but now they will get additional reward for playing every match. This will not only motivate the players to work harder and perform well, but will also promote healthy competition among the teams. With this new arrangement for the players, the IPL 2025 season is expected to be more exciting and competitive than ever before. This decision of BCCI will definitely take the reputation of the league to even greater heights and protect the financial interests of the players.
