Earlier, raids were conducted against this organization by the NIA in all the states across the country, during this raid many important evidence agencies got their hands. Including allegations of terror links.Associate organizations of PFI including Rehab India Foundation (RIF), Campus Front of India (CFI), All India Imam Council (AIIC), National Confederation of Human Rights Organization (NCHRO), National Women Front, Empower Foundation, Rehab Foundation and Kerala and Institutions have been banned.Operation Octopus carried outThe action that started against the Popular Front of India (PFI) across the country was named Operation Octopus. Under this, raids were conducted in some states of the country first, but after that suddenly raids were conducted in 15 states simultaneously. During this all PFI leaders were arrested. Under the second round of the operation, on September 27, on the inputs of agencies in 8 states of the country, the ATS and the State Police raided several locations of PFI.In Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Assam, more than 170 PFI suspects were detained in the Maha Raid by security agencies. More than 25 people were arrested in Assam and Maharashtra, 57 in UP, 30 in Delhi, 21 in MP, 10 in Gujarat and 80 in Karnataka. A meeting was also called regarding this raid under the chairmanship of Home Minister Amit Shah. All the big officers including NIA DG and NSA Ajit Doval were present in this meeting.
