Lok Sabha Election: Samajwadi Party may change its candidate from Kannauj Lok Sabha seat. According to sources, party chief Akhilesh Yadav himself may contest elections from Kannauj. He can file nomination from here tomorrow. Earlier, Samajwadi Party had made former MP Tej Pratap Yadav, son-in-law of Lalu Prasad Yadav, its candidate from Kannauj. Tej Pratap is a part of Akhilesh Yadav's family. He has been an MP from Mainpuri. BJP has once again made Subrata Pathak its candidate from here. SP had also fielded Sanatan Pandey as its candidate from Ballia in the 2019 general elections but he had to face defeat from BJP's Virendra Singh Mast.
