India - Alka Lamba will go to Punjab to appear before SIT said- I am neither afraid nor apologetic like AAP
New Delhi : Punjab Police on Wednesday reached the residence of former Aam Aadmi Party leaders Kumar Vishwas and Alka Lamba in connection with a case registered against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for making provocative statements. Both the leaders have been summoned for questioning on April 26. Alka Lamba is in Congress these days. She has said that she will definitely go to Punjab. She also said that 'I am not one to be afraid'.

Tweeting the notice received from the Punjab Police, she wrote, "As per the legal notice given by the Punjab Police, I will go to Rupnagar, Punjab to appear before the SIT on Tuesday, 26th April at 9 am. I will always stick to what is said. I am not one to be afraid. Nor am I one of those who sit at home in fear after apologizing in writing to drug mafia like AAP.

Let us tell you that on April 12, a case has been registered at the Sadar police station of Rupnagar in Punjab. Kumar Vishwas had accused Kejriwal of supporting separatists ahead of the Punjab Assembly elections. Vishwas shared the information of the police team reaching his Ghaziabad home in a tweet on Wednesday morning. He warned that AAP convener Kejriwal would one day cheat Punjab.

Kumar Vishwas had said, "In the early morning the Punjab Police has arrived at the door. At one point of time, I am warning Bhagwant Mann, who had joined the party by me, that the man sitting in Delhi, whom you are allowing to play with the power given by the people of Punjab, will one day betray you and Punjab also. The country should remember my warning.

Earlier, Congress leader Alka Lamba said that the Punjab Police has pasted a notice outside her Delhi residence and has summoned her for questioning in the case registered against Vishwas. He is accused of supporting statements of faith.

Following the Punjab Police move, the opposition in the state accused the Bhagwant Mann-led government of acting like a puppet of AAP leader Kejriwal and using force to silence critics. Rupnagar Senior Superintendent of Police Sandeep Garg said on the phone that we have registered a case against Kumar Vishwas under the relevant provisions of the law. In a notice, Vishwas has also been asked to produce evidence in support of his allegations, police said. As part of the investigation, a notice has been sent to Kumar Vishwas and he has been asked to produce whatever evidence is there in support of his allegations, the police said in a statement.
