New Delhi: The Winter Session of Parliament is going to start from November 29 (Monday). Before this, there will be an all-party meeting at 11 am on Sunday. Along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, floor leaders of opposition parties will also attend this meeting. In the meeting, the opposition will demand a discussion from the government in the house on the issue of compensation to farmers, MSP and inflation, then the government will inform all the parties about all the bills to be introduced in Parliament. In the end, the Prime Minister will address this meeting.

This bill will be introduced on Monday

The government will introduce a bill to repeal all three central agriculture laws in the Lok Sabha on Monday, stating that a small group of farmers are protesting against these laws, but the need of the hour is to make efforts for inclusive growth. Take everyone along for you. This bill has been included in the list of proceedings of the Lok Sabha on the very first day of the winter session of Parliament i.e. Monday. The Union Cabinet approved this bill after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the repeal of all three laws.

Whip issued to MPs

Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar will introduce this bill in the lower house. The ruling BJP and the main opposition Congress have issued whips to their MPs asking them to be present in the House on Monday. According to the proceedings list of the Lok Sabha on November 29, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Price Assurance and Agreement on Agricultural Services Act 2020 and Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020 ) Act, 2020 and amend the Essential Commodities Act, 1955.

tractor march postponed

On the other hand, farmer leaders said on Saturday that the United Kisan Morcha (SKM) has postponed its tractor march called on November 29 to Parliament and further action will be decided in a meeting next month. The decision to postpone March has been taken two days before the start of the winter session of Parliament. The United Farmers' Front, which has been leading farmers' organizations opposing the laws for the past one year, also said that it wants assurance in Parliament on the demand for a law that guarantees farmers the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for their crops.
