Jammu-Kashmir News: Amarnath Yatra is going to start on 29th June, due to which strict security arrangements are being made. Today, on Sunday, the country's Home Minister Amit Shah will hold a high-level meeting in Delhi to ensure security arrangements in Jammu and Kashmir due to Amarnath Yatra. Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha will also attend this meeting along with many security officials.

Recently, a bus of pilgrims was attacked in Reasi, Jammu, in which nine pilgrims were killed and 1 soldier was also killed. Also, 6 soldiers and many passengers were injured in this attack, including children. After which the government is already alert about all kinds of security arrangements for the Amarnath Yatra.

What will be discussed in the meeting

Recently four terrorist attacks took place in Reasi, Kathua and Doda. After which a high-level meeting was called in Delhi on Sunday. In this meeting, Amit Shah will review the security of Jammu and Kashmir. Also, the preparations for the Amarnath Yatra starting on June 29 and its security arrangements will also be discussed in the meeting. It is believed that the Home Minister can give guidelines to the officials to speed up the campaign against terrorism.

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Army Chief General Manoj Pandey, Army Chief-designate Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi, Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla, Intelligence Bureau Director Tapan Deka, CRPF Director General Anish Dayal Singh, Jammu and Kashmir Police Director General RR Swain and many security officials are expected to attend this meeting to ensure security arrangements.

Why is the meeting important

This meeting to be held on Sunday is also important because many terrorist incidents have happened in Jammu and Kashmir recently. After which Amarnath Yatra is going to start now and a meeting is being held to review the security so that there is no terrorist attack of any kind. Also, preparations for the Amarnath pilgrimage will also be reviewed in this meeting. To reach Amarnath, pilgrims use two routes of Jammu and Kashmir, Baltal and Pahalgam. Last year more than 4.28 lakh people reached Amarnath whereas this year this figure can go up to five lakh.
