Devkinandan Maharaj: Narrator Devkinandan Maharaj, the custodian of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Protected Service Trust in Agra, has made a big claim. He has said that the idols of Keshavdev are buried under the steps of Jama Masjid in Agra. He said that the deities of Keshavdev are buried under the stairs of Majid. He has also appealed to the Muslim society to return the deity of Keshavdev by the coming Janmashtami.'These idols should be removed by getting the stairs excavated'Devkinandan Maharaj has also given legal notice to the Local Arrangement Committee, President Sunni Central Waqf Board, Chhoti Masjid Deewane Khas Jahanara Begum Masjid and Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan through the court. Devkinandan Thakur has given this notice through Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Protected Service Trust. He has said that these idols should be removed by getting the stairs excavated. Along with this, the court has given notice to all the parties including Islamia Local Agency, UP Central Waqf Board, Lucknow and ordered to file reply by May 31.What did Devkinandan Maharaj claim?Katha Vyas Devkinandan Thakur claims that the idols of Lord Keshavdev temple are buried under the stairs built in Agra's Jama Masjid. He told that in the year 1670, the Mughal ruler Aurangzeb had demolished the Thakur Keshav Dev temple at the birthplace of Shri Krishna in Mathura and built a mosque at that place. The idols were buried under the stairs of Jahanara Begum Masjid (Small Mosque) in Agra and even today those idols are buried there. People climb these stairs to go inside the mosque and the holy idols of God are being trampled upon.
