Assembly Election 2024: Union Home Minister Amit Shah in a rally vowed to form a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in West Bengal by 2026. He said that the BJP will form the government in Bengal with a huge majority and it will be transformed into 'Sonar Bangla' (Golden Bengal). He launched a scathing attack on the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress (TMC) government and the Left regime, saying that it is necessary to free Bengal from 'terror' and 'corruption'. Vow to make Bengal a BJP stronghold

Amit Shah called for strengthening the support of the BJP in Bengal. Shah alleged that the state government was encouraging infiltration and corruption and the only way to stop it was to bring the BJP to power in 2026. "In Bengal, bomb blasts are being heard instead of Rabindra Sangeet, it is necessary to form a BJP government to stop this."

MNREGA corruption issue

Amit Shah raised the issue of corruption in the MNREGA scheme in Bengal and said that the money of the scheme is going into the hands of 'syndicate' instead of the public. He assured that when the BJP government is formed, every penny will be accounted for and the benefits will be delivered to the real needy. "When the BJP government is formed in 2026, we will ensure that the money of the public reaches the public," he said.

Dream of Sonar Bangla

Amit Shah called upon the youth and people of Bengal to join the BJP and said that they should become partners in the creation of 'Sonar Bangla'. He stressed that the BJP's goal is to free the state from the rule of the Communists and Mamata Didi.
