It is being said in many media reports that most of the MLAs have reposed faith in the leadership of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. After which it has been decided that Amarinder Singh will remain the face of Punjab Congress for the time being.

It is also being said that this committee has also said in its report that during the investigation, no factionalism has come to the fore against Captain and no group of MLAs has also united regarding Navjot Singh Sidhu. . This committee has also recommended to fill up the vacant posts in Punjab Congress. Assembly elections are going to be held in Punjab next year itself. In such a situation, the party does not want to take any risk and the party is trying not to offend any leader.

It is reported that a three-member committee has said about Navjot Singh Sidhu that he cannot be ignored. There is a possibility that some big responsibility may be given to Sidhu in the state Congress or he may also be offered the post of Deputy CM. It is also being said that Sidhu can also be made the chairman of the election campaign committee.

However, regarding the current situation of Punjab Congress, many political analysts also believe that at this time no other leader except Captain is strong enough, who can win the party in the next assembly elections on his own. In such a situation, the party high command would not want to take the risk of contesting the 2022 elections without a 'Captain'.

The news from inside the party was that apart from Navjot Singh Sidhu, leaders like Pratap Bajpa, MLA Pargat Singh and Sukhjind Singh Randhawa are also angry with the leadership of Captain.
