Parents are worried about the health of their children due to the scorching heat. Parents say that the Delhi government should either revise school timings or make summer vacations earlier. Schools have already announced a reduction in outdoor activities in view of the increasing cases of Kovid and the heat. Now in view of the situation of heat and heat, there is a demand from the Government of Delhi Parents Association that the school timings should be changed or the holidays should be done early.
Association president Aparajita Gautam said that it is the peak of summer. Haryana government has amended the school timings. In such a situation, the Delhi government should also think of such a measure so that the children can be saved from the heat.
Gautam said that due to the heat wave, the central government has also advised not to go out in the sun from 12 noon to 3 pm. But most of the school timings in Delhi are between 8 am and 2 pm. Students reach home by 3 pm. In this way they can be vulnerable to heat wave.
The president of the association said that we request the Delhi government to revise the school timings like other states or to make the summer vacations before the schedule. For this, a letter will also be sent to the Lieutenant Governor and the Chief Minister on Wednesday.
