Raipur: The Chhattisgarh government on Tuesday said that passengers flying to the state will have to carry a mandatory Covid-19 negative (RT-PCR) test report and the fully vaccinated people will be allowed entry into the state if they carry a certificate. The new rules will be applicable from August 8.The RT-PCR test has to be conducted within 96 hours of the flight’s departure time, the Chhattisgarh government said in its order.The circular was issued by the General Administration Department to all Divisional Commissioners, Inspector General of Police (IGPs), Collectors and Superintendents of Police (SPs).Chhattisgarh logged 236 fresh coronavirus cases on August 2, pushing the COVID count to 10,02,458. Three more persons succumbed due to the deadly contagious virus, taking the fatality count to 13,528.As per the data available till August 2, the number of recoveries stands at 9,87,012.Chattisgarh has 1,918 active coronavirus cases.The central government today said that the second wave of COVID-19 is yet to be over and urged people to follow protocols like maintaining social distancing and wear masks at public places."The fight against #COVID19 can be won only when everyone knows their goal; everyone knows their role. Remember, Safai, Dawai, Kadai, Jeetenge corona se ladai," the ministry of health and family welfare tweeted.The central government today informed that India's reproductive number that denotes spread of COVID-19 is more than 1 in eight states including Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu, Kerala.A total of 44 districts in 12 states and Union Territories reported more than 10 per cent weekly COVID-19 positivity rate in the week ending August 2, the government informed in its press conference.
