Jaipur. The state government is going to launch Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Yojna in April to provide medical insurance benefits to all the residents of Rajasthan. On Monday, Chief Secretary Niranjan Arya held a meeting with the officials regarding its preparations. Under the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Yojana, medical insurance of up to five lakh rupees will be available to each family of the state. They will also be able to avail the benefit of this scheme in government and allied private hospitals.
To avail the benefit of the scheme, the beneficiaries can register on their SSO ID or e-Mitra from Jan Adhaar through the platform on April 1, 2021. The benefit of the scheme will be given in the entire state from May 1, 2021. The Chief Secretary gave necessary guidelines to all the officials associated with the scheme to implement it successfully at the grassroots level. He also instructed to make wide publicity of the scheme and make special efforts to make its information accessible to the general public.The state government will give Rs 1,662 of premium.Siddharth Mahajan, Secretary, Medical, Health and Family Welfare Department, who attended the meeting, said that under the scheme, an insurance amount of Rs five lakh will be payable per family per year. Presently 1,576 diseases are covered under Ayushman Bharat Mahatma Gandhi Rajasthan Health Insurance Scheme. A premium of Rs 1,662 per year per family is paid by the state government.Chief Executive Officer of Rajasthan State Health Assurance Agency, Aruna Rajauria said that as per the budget announcement of the Chief Minister, the category of beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat-Mahatma Gandhi Rajasthan Health Insurance Scheme is going to increase. Along with the eligible beneficiaries of the National Food Security Act and the Socio Economic Census, the scheme will now provide free medical facilities to contract workers, small and marginal farmers. Apart from this, all other families of the state will be able to get free medical facility up to Rs. 5 lakhs annually on 50 percent amount of insurance premium. The said premium payment database will be maintained and updated by the Rajasthan State Health Assurance Agency.
