Delhi Election: There is a stir in Delhi politics. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his colleague minister Atishi held a press conference accusing BJP of cash for vote. He claimed that BJP is distributing money in New Delhi assembly constituency, so that the election results can be influenced.

What is the whole matter?

This controversy started when news of distribution of money to women came from Kothi No. 20 of Windsor Road. Kejriwal alleged that this house belongs to BJP MP Parvesh Verma. The women told that they were called here and given Rs 1100 and the "Laadli Yojana" was referred to.

Some women also said that they were promised that they would get Rs 2500 every month after BJP's victory. They showed their cards and cash in front of the cameras, which made the matter more serious.

What did Atishi say?

Delhi minister Atishi said in the press conference that this incident reflects the "loser mentality" of BJP. She directly demanded the Election Commission to arrest BJP MP Parvesh Verma. He said:

“There are still crores of rupees at this place. Election Commission should take immediate action and raid their house. It is clear that BJP is on the verge of losing the election and is trying to buy the lost election.”

Proof of cash for vote?

The AAP party claimed that they have videos and photographs of the entire incident. According to them, money was being distributed along with BJP pamphlets. The women also told that they were motivated to vote for BJP.

However, some women said that they were not pressured to vote, but they said that they voted for BJP of their own free will.

BJP's reaction

The BJP has rejected these allegations. The party says that this is another conspiracy of AAP, which is making false allegations to hide its failure.

Demand for action from Election Commission and Delhi Police

Chief Minister Kejriwal demanded immediate action from the Election Commission and Delhi Police. He said:

“ED, CBI and Delhi Police should immediately raid the MP's house. They have evidence that a cash for vote conspiracy is being hatched.”

Political atmosphere heated

This matter has heated up the politics of Delhi. On one hand, AAP has accused BJP of violating election rules, while on the other hand BJP is calling it AAP's frustration.

Conclusion

This allegation of cash for vote has heated up the election atmosphere of Delhi. While on one hand Aam Aadmi Party has called it an attack on democracy, on the other hand BJP has called it a ploy of AAP. Now it remains to be seen what action the Election Commission and the police take in this matter.
