Delhi Liquor Scam: ED remand of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been extended till April 1. ED had arrested Arvind Kejriwal in a money laundering case related to excise policy. His 6-day remand was ending today. Today he was produced in Rouse Avenue Court. But the court extended his remand till April 1. ED said that Chief Minister Kejriwal is procrastinating in replying and is not disclosing the passwords of his digital devices. Kejriwal said in his plea, “Four witnesses have taken my name in the excise policy case. Are four statements enough to arrest a Chief Minister? Kejriwal alleged that Sharat Chandra Reddy donated Rs 55 crore to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The Chief Minister said, “I have evidence of this.” The transaction has been proved as he (Reddy) had donated the amount after his arrest.”False picture of Aam Aadmi Party being corrupt has been presented - KejriwalReddy is a director of Aurobindo Pharma Ltd and one of the co-accused turned government witness in the case. Kejriwal said that a false picture of Aam Aadmi Party being corrupt has been presented before the country and he is ready to face the ED investigation. AAP's national convenor was arrested by the ED in this case on March 21 and later the court sent him to custody till March 28. Kejriwal's lawyer Ramesh Gupta said the chief minister wanted to cooperate in the investigation but not on ED grounds, for which the agency is requesting to extend his custody.Public will respond to political conspiracy: Kejriwal When Kejriwal was being taken to the court room for the hearing of the case, he told reporters that "this is a political conspiracy." Meanwhile, Delhi government ministers Atishi, along with Gopal Rai and Saurabh Bhardwaj were present in the court. Chief Minister's wife Sunita Kejriwal was also there. Kejriwal said, “This is a political conspiracy. The public will answer.”
