Pawan Khera : National spokesperson of Congress Pawan Kheda, who was going to Congress session in Raipur, has been arrested by the Assam Police. A day before, the Assam Police had registered a case against him in Dimapur regarding communal disturbance and national security. The matter has reached the Supreme Court. Will hear it from 3 pm.
Earlier, Kheda was taken off the flight by the Delhi Police on Thursday morning. Kheda was going to participate in the Congress session starting on Friday in Raipur. In protest against this action, other Congress leaders present in the flight raised slogans against the BJP and got off the plane.
Assam Police has registered a case regarding national securityAssam Police spokesperson Sushant Bhuyan told Bhaskar that a case has been registered against Pawan Kheda on Wednesday night for communal disturbance and national security in Haflong in Dima Hasao district. He had given a statement, against which a complaint has been registered. A team of Assam Police is present in Delhi. Delhi Police has been asked to arrest him. He will be brought to Assam after permission from the local court.
