Lok Sabha Election: Congress has released its manifesto for the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge has said that the interests of every section of the society have been taken care of in this manifesto. Kharge has guaranteed five types of justice in the press conference. Under Yuva Nyay, the first job of every educated youth has been assured and an annual stipend of Rs 1 lakh has been promised, under Nari Nyay, it has been said that a woman from a poor family will be given an annual assistance of Rs 1 lakh, under Kisan Nyay, farmers will be provided financial assistance. It has been said that there will be loan waiver and legal guarantee of MSP. Under Labor Justice, a minimum daily wage of up to Rs 400 will be given under MNREGA.

Mallikarjun Kharge has described the Congress manifesto as a document of justice. He said that 5 justices and 25 guarantees have been given in this document. He also said that under participatory justice, every person and every class will be counted or caste census will be done for socio-economic equality. Along with this, he promised that every guarantee of the manifesto will be fulfilled if his party's government comes to power at the Centre.

What are the promises of Congress for the youth?

  • Promise to bring Apprenticeship Rights Act by removing the Apprentice Act, 1961. This law will be for every diploma holder or graduate below 25 years of age. Promise to give honorarium of Rs 1 lakh per year to every trainee. The law promises to provide skills and employment opportunities to the youth.
  • Promise to set up fast track courts to adjudicate paper leak cases and provide financial compensation to the victims.
  • Promise to fill about 30 lakh vacant posts sanctioned at all levels. Promise to fill the vacancies in Panchayat and urban bodies on time with the consent of the state governments.
  • Promise to restructure the Fund of Funds scheme for start-ups. Promise to allocate 50 per cent of the available funds, Rs 5,000 crore, equally across all the districts of the country. Promise to help youth under 40 years of age across the country to start their own business.
  • A promise to give a chance to appear for the examination once again to those applicants who were unable to appear for the government examination between April 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021 during the pandemic.
  • Promise to abolish application fees for government examinations and government posts.
  • Promise to waive off all education loans along with interest till March 15, 2024.
  • Sports scholarship of Rs 10,000 per month to talented and emerging players below 21 years of age.

  • Promise to maintain the fundamental rights given to minorities under Articles 15, 16, 25, 28, 29 and 30 of the Constitution, this will also include the right to language.

  • Promise to re-implement Maulana Azad Scholarship for study abroad and increase the number of scholarships.
