Assembly Election 2023: Assembly elections are to be held in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan later this year. Political parties are engaged in ups and downs in this regard and strategies are being made. On the basis of the formula of winning the Karnataka elections, the Congress is preparing a strategy in the electoral states to be held this year. One of these is the bet of ticket distribution to the candidates ahead of time. By forming a screening committee in the election states to be held in 2023, has the Congress indicated that it will soon field its 'warlords' in the electoral battle?Congress has formed a team for the selection of candidates for Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh assembly elections. Mallikarjun Kharge has entrusted the responsibility of the screening committee to the central leaders, and has also included local leaders as well. Not only this, the party leaders from the election states have also put the demand of announcing the names of the candidates in front of the high command. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has clearly said on many occasions that if the names of the candidates are announced two months before the elections, then the return to power is confirmed. In Karnataka, the Congress had selected the candidates even before the announcement of the assembly elections and issued a list of tickets for more than half of the seats, while the rest of the seats were announced after the date was announced. On the lines of Karnataka, the Congress in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh is busy deciding the ticket distribution formula. A member of the recently constituted Congress Screening Committee told on the condition of anonymity that the party has set a target of announcing the names of its candidates by September. Under this, the process of ticket distribution will be adopted.Explain that it is the responsibility of the Congress Screening Committee to make a list of potential candidates for each seat and give it to the party, out of which the name of one candidate is finalised. Both Gehlot and Dotasara are in this committee made for Rajasthan, and in such a situation, their statements give more strength to the possibilities of coming out with the first list of Congress next month. Similarly, party's state president Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh have also been included in the Madhya Pradesh Screening Committee, while Chhattisgarh has Bhupesh Baghel and TS Singhdev. How is ticket decided in Congress? The screening committee of the Congress decides the fate of the candidates. The tickets of the candidates are recommended by the district-block organization, the opinion of the state organization is taken on that. Also, taking cognizance of the survey conducted by the party, the report of the state in-charge and co-in-charge, the screening committee finalizes the names of two candidates for one seat and sends them to the Central Election Committee. In this way, after discussion in the meeting of the Central Committee, a final stamp is put on a name and then the list is issued.According to Congress sources, there will be a meeting of the screening committee this week and work will start from then. It is believed that in September the Congress may release its first list of candidates. In the first list, the names of the candidates will be announced on those seats where the Congress has the highest chances of winning. In all the three states, the Congress has already selected its strong seats and tickets for these seats will be declared first.CM Gehlot has said that if we want to win the assembly elections, we will have to announce the name of the candidate ahead of time. He had said that candidates and workers get tired of roaming on the streets of Delhi for tickets. After this, when he gets the ticket, what work will the tired leader-worker do. Gehlot has also advocated in public forums to end the process of long meetings in Delhi. He said that if the candidates get tickets two months in advance, then they will start working. In such a situation, the Congress should soon finalize the ticket and indicate to the candidates. After Gehlot, Rajasthan Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasara had also demanded the distribution of tickets as soon as possible. It is being told that he has conveyed this to the top leadership and has argued that due to the announcement of tickets ahead of time, the candidates get enough time for their campaign. If any kind of displeasure arises in the party due to ticket distribution, then that damage can be controlled in time. In such a situation, it is believed that Congress can release the first list of its candidates soon i.e. next month in September itself. How many candidates will be there in the first list?Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has also said after the formation of the screening committee that the party should release the first list of candidates for the upcoming elections as soon as possible. This will give them more time to prepare on the ground. It is being told that in Chhattisgarh the first list of at least 20-25 candidates can come in the month of September itself, while in Rajasthan Congress can announce the names of 100 candidates in the first list.Even though no voice has been heard from Madhya Pradesh regarding the list of candidates, but Congress party sources in the state say that Kamal Nath has personally told many leaders that his ticket is final and they will Be active in the field. In such a situation, the party can also make a formal announcement of the names of these candidates soon. It is believed that Congress has fixed the names of candidates for about 80 assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh, which can be kept in the first meeting of the screening committee.A member of the screening committee formed for Madhya Pradesh told TV-9 Digital that this time the party is considering that the first list of candidates for the upcoming elections will be released as soon as possible. Screening committee meeting is to be held this week. The chairman of the committee is Bhanwar Jitendra Singh, while the members are Ajay Kumar Lallu and Saptagiri Ulka. Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh are also seen joining in unison. In such a situation, there is no conflict of any kind in the distribution of tickets, but due to the leaders coming from BJP and other parties, there is definitely a situation of inconsistency among the leaders of the party.
