Let us inform that on Thursday, 1,045 new cases of corona virus have been reported in Maharashtra and one infected person died. The number of active patients in Maharashtra has increased to 4,559. At the same time, the number of corona infected in Maharashtra is 78,89,212 and the death toll from corona is 1,47,861.
According to the report of NDTV, citing the opinion of experts, the CM said that the number of cases is likely to increase further. The CM said, 'We will keep an eye for the next 15 days. In order that the corona does not spread further, people should follow the Kovid guideline. During the meeting, the CM asked the officials to take stock of the existing health infrastructure along with keeping the field hospitals built during the peak of the pandemic ready. In the meeting, he also stressed on the need to expedite the vaccination. In the meeting, CM Uddhav Thackeray said that wear masks in crowded public places.It also said that vaccination of 12-18 age group should be expedited and booster dose should be taken. Oxygen and medicines should be kept on standby. Monsoon related diseases have symptoms similar to COVID 19 and hence, doctors advise patients to get themselves tested. There has been an increase of 231 percent in the number of patients hospitalized due to Kovid in May as compared to April. Till Monday, 215 patients were admitted in the city's hospitals, while in April the number of such patients was only 65.
