Republic Day 2024: The country is celebrating its 75th Republic Day today. As always, all eyes are on the annual Republic Day parade. India's military might and cultural diversity will be displayed on the duty route in the national capital Delhi. The chief guest of this year's parade is French President Emmanuel Macron. At the same time, on the occasion of Republic Day, a total of 1,132 personnel of Police, Fire Service, Home Guard and Civil Defense and Correctional Service have been awarded gallantry and service medals. Republic Day parade will start at 10.30 amThe Republic Day parade will start at 10.30 am and will last for about 90 minutes. The celebrations will begin with Prime Minister Narendra Modi visiting the 'National War Memorial', where he will pay floral tributes to the martyred heroes. The Defense Ministry said that a few minutes later, President Draupadi Murmu and his French counterpart Macron would arrive in 'traditional buggies'.
Tight security arrangements from ground to skyStrict security arrangements have been made from ground to sky in Delhi regarding Republic Day.
