According to the data, the total number of corona cases in Maharashtra so far is 6,007,431. At the same time, the total number of active patients in Maharashtra is 121,767, while now the total death toll has gone up to 119,859. Pune has the highest death toll in Maharashtra. Pune leads with 16,456 deaths, while 15,348 patients have lost their lives in Mumbai.

On Thursday, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray held a meeting with the local administration of seven districts, in which he directed the officials to prepare in view of the possibility of a third wave of Kovid-19. He asked the state health department to coordinate with the local administration and prepare a plan to improve the health infrastructure. In view of the Delta Plus variant, Chief Minister Thackeray also directed the district administration not to take risks by giving more relaxations under the five-tier plan put in place by the state government.

The State Health Department said that the recovery rate from Kovid-19 in the state is now 95.93 percent, while the death rate has increased to two percent. In the last 24 hours in the state, 9371 patients have been discharged from hospitals after recovery, taking the number of people who have been cured to 57,62,661. The statement said that the number of patients under treatment is 1,21,767. In the last 24 hours, 2,32,578 people were tested for corona virus, so far a total of 4,03,60,931 people have been tested for corona virus.
