Covid-19 restrictions will be eased in Maharashtra from June 7, markets will open in Delhi with odd-even rule

In view of the improving situation of Kovid-19 in Delhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday announced further relaxation in the lockdown, saying that from June 7, the Delhi Metro will run with 50 percent capacity and the market And malls will open on odd-even basis. At the same time, the Maharashtra government has announced the implementation of a five-pronged plan to relax the coronavirus restrictions in the state in view of the weekly infection rate and availability of oxygen beds.

While there has been an improvement in the situation of Kovid in most of the north and west of the country, the cases of corona virus infection have still not decreased in the south and eastern states. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Saturday announced extension of the lockdown in the state by another week till June 14, easing some of the restrictions imposed to deal with the coronavirus. He also relaxed some restrictions, allowing shops selling essential commodities to reopen and government offices to resume operations.

The Chief Minister said that overall the situation of corona virus in the state is now under control. He said that the infection of corona virus is increasing in 11 districts including Coimbatore and Nilgiris, so there will be less relaxation in restrictions in such areas as compared to other areas of the state. Earlier, the neighboring state of Karnataka announced the extension of the lockdown till June 14.

On the other hand, the Uttar Pradesh government on Saturday announced relaxation in Corona curfew in Bareilly and Bulandshahr districts from Monday, June 7. In these two districts, except in the Kovid-19 prohibited areas, shops and markets will be allowed to open five days a week from 7 am to 7 pm, while they will remain closed for the whole day on Saturday and Sunday. The number of such districts in the state has now increased to 67 where there are less than 600 patients, so the corona curfew has been relaxed in these districts.

The state government said in an official statement on Saturday that the night curfew will be applicable from 7 pm to 7 am, while the corona curfew will be applicable on Saturday and Sunday. During this, it will be mandatory to follow the Kovid rules. According to the statement, the number of infection cases has come down to less than 600 in 67 districts of the state. Earlier, the state government had relaxed the corona curfew in 55 out of 75 districts.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said that from June 7 the Delhi Metro will operate with 50 per cent capacity and markets and malls will open on an odd-even basis. The government has also allowed all shops in the locality to open while liquor shops will also open in the national capital with the new concessions coming into effect from Monday. According to the Delhi Disaster Management Authority, the current lockdown implemented on April 19 has been extended for another week (till June 14) which was going to end on June 7 at 5 am.

In a digital media briefing, Chief Minister Kejriwal said that government and private offices will be allowed to reopen with 50 per cent staff. Malls, markets and business premises (except weekly markets) will remain open from 10 am to 8 pm on odd-even basis depending on the number of shops. Locality shops and shops located in residential complexes will be allowed to open on all days without distinction of essential and non-essential services.

At the same time, a five-pronged plan was announced in the worst-affected Maharashtra based on the weekly infection rate and availability of oxygen beds in the state to relax the coronavirus restrictions.

According to a government notification, on June 3, depending on the infection rate and availability of oxygen beds, this order will come into effect from June 7.

Under the first category, cities and districts with an infection rate of five percent and oxygen bed recruitment of less than 25 percent will be allowed to open completely. Under the second category, in cities and districts where the infection rate is five percent and patients on oxygen beds are 25 to 40 percent, essential and non-essential shops will be allowed to open on a regular basis.

The relaxation of restrictions under the third category will be applicable in places where the infection rate is between 5 per cent and 10 per cent and the oxygen bed hospitalization rate is more than 40 per cent. The fourth category is for places where the infection rate is 10 to 20 percent and oxygen bed recruitment is 60. is more than a percent. There essential shops will remain open till 4 pm. Public places will remain open, but they will be closed on weekends.

In the fifth category, where the infection rate is more than 20 percent and more than 75 percent patients on oxygen beds, only essential shops will remain open till 4 pm and there will be 15 percent attendance in the office.

While many states have relaxed restrictions when the situation improves, most states and union territories have decided to extend the period of restrictions like lockdown.

The lowest number of 1,20,529 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported in the country in a single day in nearly two months and with this the total cases of infection reached 2,86,94,879. According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry till 8 am, 3,380 more people lost their lives due to this infectious disease, taking the total number of dead to 3,44,082.
