Big records have been made in the mini auction of Indian Premier League 2024, in the first half of the auction, Australian captain Pat Cummins became the most expensive player by being sold for Rs 20.50 crore. But after just one hour this record was also broken, now Australia's Mitchell Starc has become the most expensive player in IPL history. Kolkata Knight Riders have bought Mitchell Starc for Rs 24.75 crore.
Mitchell Starc's base price was Rs 2 crore, Gujarat Titans and Kolkata Knight Riders made huge bids for him. Initially Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians had also bid for Mitchell Starc, but when they went over the budget, both these teams were left behind.
The surprising thing is that Mitchell Starc has played only two seasons in IPL, the last time he played IPL was in the year 2015. After this, Mitchell Starc never played IPL and now when he announced his comeback after the World Cup, he broke all the records. Mitchell Starc has played 27 matches in IPL, in which he has taken 34 wickets.
