The operation of 25 AC electric metro feeder buses as a trial by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation is about to complete about two months. However, additional new feeder buses have not been included in the network of Metro feeder buses so far. The reason for this is that the initial results of the trials of AC Metro feeder buses were not very encouraging as the number of passengers traveling in these feeder buses was less.At the same time, it is being told that now the number of passengers has increased slightly. In such a situation, now DMRC says that by the end of this month, 25 additional AC buses will be included in the network of electric metro feeder buses. After this, 50 AC electric metro feeder buses will start filling the speed in Delhi. To improve last mile connectivity in Delhi, DMRC was planning to introduce 100 AC Metro feeder buses on 10 routes in a phased manner by the end of this month. So that after landing at the metro station, passengers can easily reach their destination. Apart from this, passengers can easily reach the metro station from different areas. Under this, operation of 25 AC Metro feeder buses was started on 12th August on two routes of East Delhi. These buses are being operated between Shastri Park Metro Station to Gokulpuri Metro Station and Shastri Park Metro Station to Mother Dairy. These buses have the facility of paying the fare only through the smart card of the Metro. There is no facility to pay the fare by cash or token, so passengers who do not have a smart card are not able to travel in it. Because of this, the buses were running mostly empty in the beginning.Meanwhile, information has come to the fore that the number of passengers has increased slightly in the last few days. These AC Metro feeder buses are full of passengers and operate with full seating capacity, especially in the peak hours of morning and evening. DMRC says that the operation of 25 additional buses will start this month. After this, 50 additional buses will also be put on the road soon.
