On Wednesday, DG, CRPF, Kuldeep Singh said, now we can say that Bihar and Jharkhand have become Naxal-free. They may have survived in the form of extortion gangs but now they do not dominate any area. He said that there is no place left in Bihar and Jharkhand where the force cannot reach. Home Minister Amit Shah has congratulated the police and CRPF for this success.The DG said, Naxalite attacks have reduced rapidly in recent times. It has seen a decrease of at least 77 percent. The highest number of Naxalite attacks took place in 2009. There has been an 85 percent reduction in attack deaths. The Home Minister congratulated by tweeting and said, a historic milestone in the internal security of the country has been crossed. Under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, the security forces have achieved unprecedented success in the decisive battle against Left Wing Extremism across the country.In these months-long operations in the top Maoist stronghold, the security forces got unprecedented success, in which 14 Maoists were killed and over 590 arrested/surrendered, the Home Minister said. In which millions of crores rewarded Maoists like Mithilesh Mahto, who had a reward of ₹ 1 crore, have been caught.“For the first time, permanent camps of security forces have been established by successfully evacuating Maoists from the inaccessible areas of Budha Pahar, Chakrabandha and Bhimabandh. Under the leadership of Narendra Modi, the policy of zero tolerance of the Ministry of Home Affairs against terrorism and LWE will continue and this fight will intensify further.Naxalites were here for 30 yearsCRPF DG Kuldeep Singh said that the Budha Pahar area was occupied by Naxalites for the last 30 years. With the help of helicopter, the security forces reached here and made a permanent camp. After this three operations were run here. Their names were Operation Octopus, Bulbul and Thunderstorm.
