Jammu-Kashmir News: A new government has been formed in Jammu and Kashmir and along with it the departments of the ministers have also been divided. A total of 24 departments have been divided among five ministers, while Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has kept the rest of the departments with himself. With the formation of this government, the proposal to give full statehood status to Jammu and Kashmir has also been passed. The most interesting thing is that independent MLA Satish Sharma has been given the responsibility of the maximum seven departments, which shows his political capability.

Distribution of departments of ministers

The distribution of departments among five ministers in Omar Abdullah's new government is as follows:

Surendra Choudhary (Deputy CM): He has been given the responsibility of Industries, Roads and Buildings (R&B), Mining, Labor and Employment and Skill Development. These departments are considered important for the industrial and labor development of the state.

Sakina Itoo: She has taken charge of Health, School Education, Higher Education and Social Welfare departments, which are considered important steps towards improving education and health services.

Javed Rana: Javed Rana has been given departments like Jalshakti, Forest, Tribal Affairs and Environment. These departments include environmental protection and proper management of water resources.

Javed Ahmed Dar: He has been given the responsibility of Agriculture Production, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Cooperative and Election departments. These departments are very important for the rural development and farmers of the state.

Satish Sharma: Food, Civil Supply and Consumer Affairs, Transport, Science and Technology, Information Technology, Youth Services and Sports and ARI and Training departments have been handed over to Satish Sharma. Through these departments, he will encourage the youth and technical sector of the state.

Proposal for full statehood passed

Omar Abdullah's government approved the proposal to give full statehood status to Jammu and Kashmir in the first cabinet meeting. In this meeting held in Srinagar on Thursday, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah passed this proposal, which will now be sent to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Through this proposal, an attempt will be made to restore the state status of Jammu and Kashmir, which was converted into a Union Territory after the repeal of Article 370 in 2019.

Political equation in Jammu and Kashmir

The National Conference led by Omar Abdullah, along with the Congress, has won a historic victory in the assembly elections. The National Conference won 42 seats, while the Congress won 6 seats. The Bharatiya Janata Party also captured 29 seats, which was more than the 25 seats last time. These elections have proved to be a change in the political equation in Jammu and Kashmir, as this was the first time after the repeal of Article 370 that assembly elections were held in the state under the democratic process.

Omar Abdullah's second term

This is the second term for Omar Abdullah as Chief Minister. Earlier he served as Chief Minister from 2009 to 2015. This time his challenges and responsibilities are even greater, as he not only has to maintain the political stability of the state, but also has to work towards getting full statehood status for Jammu and Kashmir.

With the formation of this new government, it is expected that development work in Jammu and Kashmir will get a new impetus and the people of the state will experience better administration.
