A drunken bank manager rammed four vehicles and two bicycles one after the other after driving the car at high speed near Kanpur's Coca-Cola crossing on Tuesday night. Six people were injured in the accident. The bank manager, who was running away after being hit, was caught and beaten up fiercely by the passers-by and handed over to the police. The manager's female friend was also in the car. Thankfully no one died in the accident. Manish Pandey, resident of Sisamau Ramkrishna Nagar, is the manager of Utkarsh Bank.
Nazirabad Thanedar Har Prasad told that Manish was returning from Lucknow to Kanpur with a female friend at around eight o'clock on Tuesday night. Manish was drunk. As soon as the Coca-Cola crossing opened, Manish drove the car very fast. Due to this the car went out of control and rammed three bikes, one scooty and two cycles. While trying to escape, the car came to a halt after hitting a pillar. The angry mob grabbed Manish and beat him up. There were many serious injuries. Police registered a case against the accused under serious sections.
Scooty rider serious, rest injuredIn the accident, Indira Nagar bike rider Raunak, Kakadev resident bike rider Mahendra Pandey, Kalyanpur bike rider Vijendra Singh Sengar were injured. Apart from this, one scooty rider and two different cyclists were also injured. The police immediately rushed all the injured to the hospital.
Speed reaching in the opposite directionAfter hitting the first bike, the car went in the opposite direction. In an attempt to escape, the manager increased the speed of the car from here.
