Farooq Abdullah dances to Bollywood song at Punjab CM's granddaughter's wedding

Chandigarh: Taking a break from his usual parliamentarian routine, former Jammu and Kashmir CM Farooq Abdullah attended the wedding of Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh's granddaughter and was seen shaking a leg to the famous Bollywood number “Aaj Kal Tere Mere Pyaar Ke Charche”. 

A video of the event has gone viral on social media. The 83-year-old veteran politician was seen shaking a leg to the song from the 1968 Bollywood film 'Brahmachari'.

In the viral video, Farooq Abdullah can be seen lip-synching and grooving with the popular Shammi Kapoor song. He then jovially ropes in Captain Amarinder to dance with him.

The video was shared by Nasir Khuehami, a humanitarian and an activist on Twitter. "Punjab CM @capt_amarinder dancing with MP Farooq Abdullah at Gandaughter's wedding. "Ajjkal Tere Mere Pyaar kei Charche hai":) (sic)," he tweeted.

Congress leader Saral also shared the video. He said, “This video of @capt_amarinder & Farooq Abdullah proves that age is, indeed, just a number! @OmarAbdullah”

Seherinder Kaur, the granddaughter of Punjab CM Amarinder Singh got married Delhi-based businessman Aaditya Narang at the politician’s Siswan farmhouse in Chandigarh on Sunday (February 28).

The two leaders, who share a good rapport, are fond of hosting each other.

Netizens amused with Abdullah's dance
