New Delhi: The Prime Minister on Saturday reviewed the ongoing Kovid vaccination program in the country. He said that the fast pace of this great campaign against the corona epidemic should be maintained even further. The help of NGOs should also be taken in the program of promotion of vaccination. In a statement on Saturday, the Prime Minister's Office said that in 128 districts of the country, more than 50 percent people above 45 years of age have been vaccinated. In the review meeting to PM Modi, it was also told by the officials that there is increasing interest around the world regarding the CoWIN platform. PM Modi expressed satisfaction over the pace of corona vaccination but also suggested taking the help of NGOs to expand its scope.The PMO said that the officials gave a comprehensive presentation about the vaccination in the country to the Prime Minister. They were given information about vaccination according to different age groups. This includes the progress of vaccination of healthcare workers, frontline workers and the general public. The officials also shared information about increasing the supply and production of the vaccine in the next few months.Told the PM that 3.77 crore people have been vaccinated in 6 days, which is more than the total population of countries like Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and Canada. The PM's office has 16 districts in the country, where for 45 years. 90% of the population of the older age (45+ population) has been vaccinated against Corona.Officials told PM Modi that they are in touch with the state governments and efforts are being made to implement such unique methods so that the scope of vaccination can be increased. On this, the Prime Minister talked about taking the help of NGOs and other social organizations. The Prime Minister instructed the officials to work with the states to ensure that the pace of corona testing does not slow down. He said that testing is the biggest weapon in the exercise to keep the corona infection under control.
