Fortuner fell in canal, five including one NRI died, late night accident

A Fortuner fell into a canal in Ludhiana late on Monday night. Five people in the car died in the accident. The accident happened after 12 o'clock in the night. After a long time people saw the car and informed the police. One NRI is among the dead.

According to the information, a Fortuner (PB-08-BT-3999) fell into the canal near village Jhamat bridge at Payal at 11.30 pm on Monday night. There were six people in the car and five of them died on the spot. Mewa Singh son Sandeep Singh, resident of Nangalan Walwal, survived the accident. Police suspect that the car was speeding and fell into the canal uncontrollably. In this accident, Jatinder Singh (40), Jagtar Singh (45) resident of Nangla, Jagga Singh (35) resident of Gopalpur, Kuldeep Singh (45) resident of Lehli and Jagdeep Singh (35) year resident of village Roorkee died.
