PFI Banned: On September 28, the Government of India took major action on the Popular Front of India. After all the raids and arrests in the past, today this organization has been banned in India for the next five years. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has made many serious allegations against the PFI.

In a notification, the government said that most of the top leadership of the PFI was earlier part of the banned organization Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI). It said that the PFI also has links with the banned terrorist organization Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB). Let us now tell you 7 big reasons for the ban of PFI.

not obeying the constitution of the country

The biggest reason for the Popular Front of India being banned is because of not obeying the Constitution of India. The central government, in a notification banning PFI, said, "The PFI and its allied front have been involved in violent terrorist activities with the intention of creating a reign of terror in the country, threatening the security and public order of the state. It violates the constitutional rights and sovereignty of the state and therefore requires immediate and prompt action against the organisation."

Criminal acts such as cutting off the hands of a college professor

PFI has been involved in various criminal and terrorist cases. It disrespects the constitutional authority of the country. According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, PFI and its organizations have been involved in violent activities. These include cutting off the hand of a college professor, brutally killing people who follow other religions, conspiracy to bomb blasts and damage to public property.

involvement in terrorist acts

Whenever there was a big incident from North to South India, the name of PFI would first come to the fore. From CAA Protest in Delhi, Shaheen Bagh violence, Jahangirpuri violence to Kanpur violence in recent months, Karauli violence in Rajasthan, violence in Khargone in Madhya Pradesh and violence in Bengaluru as well as many violence-murders across the country including the murder of BJP leader. The name of this controversial organization has come to the fore.

PFI workers have also been accused of having links with terrorist organizations like Al Qaeda and Taliban. However, PFI claims itself to be an organization fighting for the cause of Dalits and Muslims. In the year 2010, there were allegations of connection with this organization SIMI.

Keeping in touch with foreign terrorist organizations like ISIS

In a notification issued on Tuesday night, it was told that some of the founding members of the PFI are leaders of the banned organization SIMI. It was told that Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen of PFI is also linked with Bangladesh. The notification also said that the PFI has also got links with terrorist groups like ISIS.
