Four youths from Gurugram, Haryana have been arrested in connection with the gang rape of a 23-year-old nurse in Bengaluru. The incident happened on March 24. Out of these four youths, three are swimming coaches and one is taking swimming lessons.These four youths had come to a coaching clinic in Chamarajpeth, Bangalore. Their names are Rajat Suresh, Yogesh Kumar Dalal, Shivrana Tekchandran and Dev Saroha. Rajat has been living in Bengaluru for several years, while other youths came here in February. All four had stayed in a rented house in RMV 2 Stage area of Sanjay Nagar area of Bangalore.According to the police, preliminary investigation has revealed that Rajat was friends with the victim nurse. She is a nurse in a private hospital. The two met in the first week of this month through a dating app. Rajat had met the nurse several times. He invited the victim to a restaurant for dinner on the night of 24 March and then took her to his rented house from there. There all four raped her. After this, the victim lodged a complaint with the Sanjay Nagar police station on March 25.A case has been registered against the four accused under IPC section 376D (gang rape). The police had nabbed the four as soon as they got the information. Rajat was aware that the nurse had filed a case, so he tried to flee to Delhi, but was caught at the Bangalore airport. The medical report has confirmed the gang rape of the nurse.
