FATF puts Pak in gray list, action on terrorists can be blacklisted to do
Lahore The International Action Task Force (FATF), an international body that curbs terror funding and money laundering, placed Pakistan in its 'gray list' last year. In September, the FATF may blacklist Pakistan for not properly acting on terrorism. The institution also warned Pakistan about this in January. However, the Imran government has now devised new ways to deal with it. He has started filing fake and weak cases against the terrorists.
According to reports, Pakistan wants to show the FATF that it is committed to take action against the terrorists. While there are more chances of terrorists being released due to weak cases. According to news agency sources, on July 1, a case was registered against a Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist over a land dispute. But the case is so weak that there is no possibility of any action against the terrorist in the court.
The names of terrorists are not included in the FIR
Pakistan is presenting these cases as if it is seizing the assets of the terrorists and stopping their transactions. But no action has been taken so far on the leaders of the terrorist organization. The FIR does not even mention the names of Lashkar chief Hafiz Saeed or terrorists Abdul Ghaffar, Hafiz Masood, Aamir Hamza and Malik Zafar Iqbal, all of whom were among the owners of that land. There is no mention of terrorist organizations Jamaat-ud-Dawa and Falah-e-Insaniyat in the FIR. Rather, in one place it was feast-Irshad is mentioned which is the old name of Jamaat-ud-Dawa.Pakistan wants to distract FATF
According to the legalists, the FIR has not named the people involved in the land dispute nor given the timeline of their crime. Apart from this, very simple words were also used to describe their terrorist activities. Apart from this, information has not been given on the activities of the terrorist organization, so that the dust can be thrown in the eyes of the FATF.
FATF has already warned Pakistan
The FATF may meet in the first week of October on the issue of keeping Pakistan in the gray list or being blacklisted. Earlier, the FATF had warned Pakistan after the meeting in June that it was not taking any steps to stop the terrorists. The organization gave a stern warning to Pakistan - if it could not implement the action plan by October 2019, it would have to bear the consequences. On this, Pak said - The country is not only ready to follow every instruction of the institution to come out of the gray list, but is also making efforts to implement the action plan on its behalf.
