New Delhi: A National Recruitment Agency (NRA) will hold a common test for jobs in the government and state-owned banks, said the Cabinet on Wednesday, seeking to standardise and smoothen the process.The Common Eligibility Test will help "youngsters of the country find jobs easily,” said union minister Prakash Javadekar. Candidates for government jobs appear for multiple examinations and pay repetitive fees. NRA will "remove these pain points" with a common test for multiple government jobs."It’s a revolutionary reform,” said union minister Jitendra Singh.NRA will hold online exams for non-gazetted government posts and each district will have at least one exam centre, said the All India Radio.
