PM Modi Ukraine Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kiev. During this, PM Modi put his hand on Zelensky's shoulder and inquired about his well-being and discussed the situation of the war. Modi paid tribute to the children killed in the war at the National Museum of Ukraine. This visit comes six weeks after the visit to Russia and the first visit of the Indian Prime Minister to Ukraine. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal expressed hope that this visit could be a step towards ending the war. PM Modi expressed hope for peace and stability, although India has not yet condemned the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

PM Modi paid tribute to children killed in the war

On reaching Kiev, PM Modi went to the National Museum of Ukraine to pay tribute to the memory of those children of Ukraine. Where these children lost their lives due to Russian attack in the war. It was here that Zelensky and PM Modi met.

Ukraine visit 6 weeks after Russia visit

Prime Minister Modi's visit to Ukraine is taking place about six weeks after his visit to Russia to discuss the conflict situation between Russia and Ukraine. This is also the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister to Ukraine. This will further deepen the relationship between the two countries.

Possibility of ending the war

Ministry of External Affairs official spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal wrote on social media platform X that PM Modi's visit to Poland after four decades will broaden and deepen India-Poland relations. The United Nations Secretary-General's Office said that they hope that the Indian Prime Minister's visit to Ukraine will bring forth the possibility of ending the war.

PM Modi expressed hope for peace and stability

At the same time, India has not yet condemned the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Prime Minister Modi's statement said that as a friend and partner, we hope for the return of peace and stability in the region soon.
