Shiv Sena - Hearing in Supreme Court on Shiv Sena's nomination, SC seeks response from Shinde and Uddhav faction
Shiv Sena : A hearing was held in the Supreme Court on Wednesday on Uddhav's plea against handing over the name and symbol of Shiv Sena to the Shinde faction. The Supreme Court has not stayed the decision of the Election Commission. However, by issuing notices to the Uddhav group and the Shinde camp, they have sought a reply within two weeks.
CJI DY Chandrachud said that at this stage we cannot stay the order. The Shinde faction has proved itself before the Election Commission. Senior advocate Kapil Sibal appeared on behalf of the Uddhav faction. He asked the court to maintain status quo. However, the court did not pass any such order.
The Shinde faction had also filed a caveat in the Supreme Court before Uddhav's petition. In which it was said that the Supreme Court must hear its side before giving any decision.
Sanjay Raut said – now trust only on the Supreme CourtOn the decision to take away the name and symbol of Shiv Sena from the Election Commission, Uddhav faction leader Sanjay Raut said on Tuesday that all institutions have ended in this country. Democracy has been murdered, so now there is only one hope left - the Supreme Court. We will go there and demand justice.
Thackeray faction in SC cited party constitutionThe petition by the Uddhav faction had said that the Election Commission, in settling the dispute over the name and symbol of the Shiv Sena, based the party's 1999 constitution, though it had been changed in 2018. In the amendment, it was said that the president will be at the top in the Shiv Sena. The final decision on the inclusion, removal or meeting of someone in the party will be taken by the party president.
The Uddhav faction had said that according to the 1999 constitution, the party chief had no such power. He alleged that the Election Commission did not even give time to put the 2018 Constitution on record. The new constitution has been ignored while taking the decision. On the basis of this argument, the Uddhav group had demanded a stay on the decision of the Election Commission till the decision of the Supreme Court.

Before the meeting of the Uddhav faction at the Shiv Sena building in Mumbai, Shinde faction leader Sada Sarvankar said that we are not paying attention to any property. Not only Sena Bhavan, but for us every branch of the party is a temple.
