Heavy rain and thunderstorm expected in 25 districts this evening, alert issued

Lucknow. The weather is about to turn again in Uttar Pradesh amidst strong sunlight and humidity since morning. The effect of change of weather will be seen in the rest of the state except the districts of western UP. The weather will change by evening in the districts of Braj region, Central UP, Rohilkhand, Terai and Purvanchal. According to the latest forecast of the Meteorological Department, there may be heavy rain with strong gusts of wind in about 20 districts till Friday evening. There is a possibility of thunderstorms reaching 87 kmph in these districts. That is why the Meteorological Department has issued an Orange Alert for these districts. That is, people are forbidden to go out during storm and rain.

The districts where the weather will change by 5:00 pm today are Aligarh, Mathura, Mainpuri, Farrukhabad, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Hardoi, Etawah, Auraiya, Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Ayodhya, Unnao, Lucknow, Fatehpur, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Siddharth Nagar, Mahoba and Banda. There is also a warning about the possibility of lightning during thunderstorms and rain. There may be damage to the kutcha houses and the problem of water logging may also arise in many places in the city. In the districts where rain and thunderstorms have been predicted till Friday evening, most of these districts had rained yesterday as well.

people will get relief from the heat

Due to this change in the weather, people will get relief from the rising temperature and humidity due to strong sunlight. The day and night temperatures have increased in most cities due to continuous strong sunshine for the last two days. While earlier the temperature was being recorded around 35 degree Celsius in most of the districts, yesterday on Thursday the day's maximum temperature was recorded above 40 degree Celsius in many cities. The minimum night temperature has also started recording above 25 degree Celsius. Now the districts where rain has been predicted will get relief from this. Still, the heat which used to be in the months of May and June, this year is getting relief from it. Wait a little more for the monsoon.

Now we have to wait for 15 days for monsoon. Southwest Monsoon has knocked over Kerala but it will take 15 to 20 days to reach UP. The Meteorological Department expects that the monsoon may enter the state around June 20.
