Hyderabad defeated Punjab by 2 runs, the team won in the last over

PBKS vs SRH: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has achieved its third win in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The team defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 2 runs in the 23rd match of the current season. Punjab captain Shikhar Dhawan won the toss and chose to bowl first at the Maharaja Yadvendra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mohali on Tuesday. Batting first, Hyderabad scored 182 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Punjab team could score only 180 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs.

SRH's Nitish Kumar Reddy played an inning of 64 runs on 37 balls. He scored his first fifty in IPL. Abdul Samad scored 25 runs. Arshdeep Singh took 4 wickets from Punjab. Harshal Patel got two wickets.

For PBKS, Shashank Singh scored 46 not out and Ashutosh Sharma scored 33 not out. Sam Curran contributed 29 runs and Sikandar Raza contributed 28 runs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar got two wickets from SRH.

Three catches missed in the last over, Punjab lost by 2 runs

Ashutosh Sharma missed the catch of Nitish Raddy on the first ball of the last over. Sharma played Unadkat's first ball at midwicket. Nitish Reddy standing at the boundary also jumped to catch the catch, but could not catch it. Abdul Samad also missed the catch of Ashutosh Sharma on the second ball of the same over.
