He works as a laborer and watchman by living in Uchbhatti village of Sipat area. Police got information that on the intervening night of April 24-25, Manish had allegedly seen Mahavir trying to enter the house. He told that Mahavir managed to escape during this time, but on Monday the next day, Manish caught him and handed him over to the police, accusing him of trying to steal. Police officials told that then Manish did not register a case against Mahavir with the police, so the police left Mahavir with a warning. He told that later Manish accused Mahavir that on Wednesday night Mahavir again reached his house and ran away after damaging his motorcycle parked outside. On Thursday, Manish and four other accused caught Mahavir and allegedly hung him upside down from a tree near a brick kiln in the village and brutally thrashed him, police officials said.
