SCO Summit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually participated in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit on Tuesday. PM Modi said that in the last two decades, SCO has emerged as a major platform for prosperity, peace and development of the Asian region. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also targeted terrorism in this summit. Without naming Pakistan, PM Modi targeted Pakistan on terror. He said that all countries should respect the sovereignty and boundaries of other countries.Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over the SCO summit. Chinese President Xi Jinping and Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also participated in it. All these people should be a part of this meeting virtually. PM Modi said that we do not see SCO as coming together with our neighbors, rather it is seen as a family. Security, economic development, connectivity, integration, respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, and environmental protection are the pillars of our approach to the SCO.Pakistan heard rightlyIn the presence of Pakistani PM Shahbaz Sharif, PM Modi also talked about terror. He said that terrorism is a threat to regional and global peace. Together we have to fight terror. Reprimanding Pakistan, PM Modi said that some countries use cross-border terrorism as their policies.He further said that such countries also give shelter to terrorists. SCO should not refrain from criticizing such countries. SCO countries should criticize terrorism.
