Indian Army got big success in joint operation - 3 terrorists killed in Kulgam

Jammu and Kashmir: Army has killed three terrorists in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The Army was running a joint operation in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Police. The army has achieved great success in the operations so far. Three terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba were killed by the soldiers. Friday is the second day of anti-terrorism operation in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. To prevent terrorists from escaping, security forces have taken steps like tightening the cordon in the area.

After a peaceful night, firing took place in the Samano area of Nehama in Kulgam in the early hours of Friday. Based on intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area, the operation initially began as a cordon and search operation in Nehama village of Kulgam. The situation worsened when the terrorists started firing on the security personnel, due to which the search operation turned into an encounter.

There was a possibility of hiding of two local and one foreign terrorist.

However, security forces have imposed a tight cordon around the area where the terrorists are believed to be trapped. The operation was temporarily halted overnight. At present there is no news of any casualty in the army team. According to sources, there was a possibility of three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists trapped in the surrounded area, out of which two were said to be locals and one foreigner. However, it has not been confirmed yet by the authorities whether there were actually only three terrorists or more terrorists are hiding in the forest.

Army-police team was busy searching for terrorists

According to reports, army personnel started a search operation in the forest areas in search of terrorists. The terrorists, seeing the soldiers, allegedly started firing. After this, the search team surrounded the area from all sides to catch the terrorists. Teams of 34 Rashtriya Rifles of the Army, 9 Para Special Forces, Police and CRPF are involved in the joint operation.
