Three big companies have bought IPL rights for 5 years for Rs 48,390 crore, which has been announced by BCCI secretary Jay Shah. Disney Star made a bid of Rs 23,575 crore for Package A. Viacom will pay Rs 50 crore to BCCI for digital stream of an IPL match.Viacom has decided to spend Rs 3,258 crore for the media rights of Package C i.e. total 18 matches of a season (which includes IPL opener, 13 double headers and 4 playoff matches).
