KKR vs RCB: The opening ceremony of the 18th season of IPL has started. It is being hosted by Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan. Shreya Ghoshal gave the first performance at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata. She sang the song Mere Dholna Sun... Pehla from the film Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Bollywood actress Disha Patani and Punjabi singer Karan Aujla will also perform in a short while. Arijit Singh, Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Dhawan can also perform.

Shahrukh had reached Kolkata a day earlier. He will support his team Kolkata Knight Riders. Salman Khan is also expected to arrive. He may come for the promotion of his film Sikandar. However, it has not been officially confirmed yet.
