Jagannath Puri Rath Yatra: After 53 years, this year Puri's Rath Yatra will be of two days. Lord Jagannath, who fell ill on Snan Purnima, recovered this morning, so the festivals to be held before the Rath Yatra are also being celebrated today. At 2.20 pm, Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra were seated in their chariots. The Rath Yatra has begun. First of all, Balabhadra's chariot was pulled. The chariot is moving forward intermittently. After some time, the chariot of Subhadra and Jagannath ji will be pulled.

According to Dr. Jyoti Prasad, the almanac maker of Jagannath Temple, the Lord was awakened 2 hours earlier than usual. Mangala Aarti took place at 2 am instead of 4 am. After Mangala Aarti, Dashavatara Puja took place at around 2.30 am. Naitrotsav was celebrated at 3 pm and Puja was performed by the King of Puri at 4 pm. Surya Puja took place after 5.10 am and Dwarpal Puja took place at around 5.30 am. At 7 am, khichdi bhog-prasad was offered to the Lord.

Due to too much crowd in the Rath Yatra, the Lord's youthful darshan will not be possible. President Draupadi Murmu also participated in the Rath Yatra. PM Narendra Modi wished the countrymen on the Rath Yatra.

Rath Yatra reaches Dariyapur in Ahmedabad

The 147th annual Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath has begun in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on Sunday (7 July). Lord Jagannath, along with his brother Balaram and sister Subhadra, has set out on the 18 kilometer Rath Yatra from the 400-year-old Jagannath temple located in Jamalpur area. The Rath Yatra has reached Dariyapur.
