Mumbai | Actor John Abraham, who is known for his breathtaking action movies reviewed recently released crime thriller web series ‘Hostages 2’ on Sunday.John shared a two minute video on his Instagram handle in which he can be seen praising action and thriller elements of the show. He also lauded performances of actors Ronit Roy, Divya Dutta and Dino Morea who are playing prominent part in it. At the end of the video, John recommends the audience to watch the show.He captioned the video as, “Hostages Season 2. Streaming on @disneyplushotstarvip”‘Dhoom’ actor’s recent post got around 300K views on his Instagram account. As soon as John uploaded the video, Dino Morea commented on his post by writing, “Thanks @thejohnabraham for the seeeetisss Appreciate it. Now let’s do an action film together”.‘Hostages season 1’ came out in 2019. The crime thriller is based on an Israeli show by the same name. ‘Hostages 2’ marks the return of Ronit Roy as SP Prithvi Singh. The Hotstar Special series also features Divya Dutta, Dino Morea, Shibani Dandekar and Shweta Basu Prasad in important roles.The returning season has been directed by Sachin Krishn. Sudhir Mishra, who helmed the first season, has assumed the role of Series Director.The storyline resumes shortly after revealing that CM Handa (Dalip Tahil) is indeed alive and Prithvi Singh has kidnapped the politician. However, an unfortunate chain of events ends up making Prithvi a hostage himself.The second season of ‘Hostages’ premiered on September 9 on Disney+ Hotstar VIP.On work front, John Abraham next will be seen onscreen in ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’ along with Divya Khosla Kumar and in ‘Attack’ along with Rakul Preet Singh and Jacqueline Fernandez.It also learnt that Shah Rukh Khan will mark his return to the big screen with Yash Raj Films’ ‘Pathan’. The film also stars John Abraham in the parallel lead and will be directed by Siddharth Anand.
