Lulu Mall Lucknow : Members of Hindu organizations who came to read Hanuman Chalisa at Lulu Mall in Lucknow on Saturday were chased away by the police. Members of the Karni Sena and Rashtriya Hindu Patron Dal had reached here to read the chalisa after a video of them offering Namaz went viral. They had saffron flags in their hands and were shouting slogans of Jai Shri Ram, Jai Hanuman.
When the police stopped them from going to the mall, they sat outside and started reciting Chalisa. When they tried to remove them using mild force, a clash broke out. The police ran and caught the workers protesting outside the mall. 20 activists have been detained. The security of the mall has been beefed up.
Politicians furious for stopping outside the mallRashtriya Hindu Patron Dal president Aditya Mishra reached Lulu Mall at 1 pm on Saturday along with more than 12 workers. He said that when Namaz is being held inside the mall, why are we being stopped from reading Hanuman Chalisa?
Lulu Mall in controversy after offering NamazLulu Mall was inaugurated by CM Yogi on 8th July. The mall was opened to the public from July 11. A video of him offering Namaz was posted inside Lulu Mall on Wednesday. After the video went viral, Hindu Mahasabha and Hindu leader Kamlesh Tiwari's wife Kiran announced to recite Hanuman Chalisa in the mall.
Mall manager Sameer Verma apologized to Hindu Mahasabha president Shishir's house. Kiran was house arrested by the police. However, the matter did not end here. The protest against Hindu organizations is still going on.
