With the help of three sixes in his useful cameo, Pollard achieved an elusive record as he became only the third overseas batsman in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) to hit 200 sixes in the competition. He joined Chris Gayle (351) and AB de Villiers (237) on the list of most sixes by overseas players in IPL history. Gayle continues to hold the record for hitting the most number of sixes by any batsmen in the history of the competition. Pollard's cameo along with crucial knocks from Quinton de Kock (40) and Rohit Sharma (32) helped Mumbai Indians post 150/5 on the board in 20 overs. Sunrisers Hyderabad, in reply, got off to a strong start with a 67-run stand between openers David Warner (36) and Jonny Bairstow (43). However, the middle-order failed to deliver once again as the Orange Army lost the plot after the departure of the opening duo to get bundled out for 137.Mumbai Indians won the game convincingly by 13 runs after an impressive bowling show from Rahul Chahar (3/19) and Trent Boult (3/28) as the duo picked up six wickets between them.
