After a countdown of 25:30 hours, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on Monday launched the first launch mission of this year. ISRO launched the satellite EOS-04 in the early hours of Monday, as early as 5:59 am. The launch took place by PSLV-C52 from Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. Along with this, two other small satellites have also been sent into space. After the successful launch of this mission, everyone also welcomed it by clapping.Two Satellite Launches With Radar Imaging EOS-04Under this mission, Radar Imaging EOS-04 has been sent into space. EOS-04, weighing 1,710 kg, will orbit 529 km in space in a sun-synchronous polar orbit. ISRO said that EOS-04 is a radar imaging satellite. It will be used to take high quality pictures of the Earth. These will help in preparation of maps of agriculture, forestry, plantation, soil moisture, water availability and flood prone areas.
